Our fete is probably the oldest continuous held village fete in England so come along and have a good time

The Lions and Lilies will entertain us with medieval sword fighting, Archery and dancing.

Visit the Armoury tent and decorate your own Knights then buy your Swords and Shields, try on genuine  chain mail  and compare the weight of medieval armour to modern kit.

Why not have a go at jousting ( adults and children),  try local scrumpy and medieval style bread, or have your fortune told to get into the spirit of the fete.

Then walk to the History tent and meet the Barton Stacey Knights

The history group are on hand to explain the fascinating medieval past of our village and who our two Knights turned out to be more important than we expected.

Then move onto all the normal fete experience – Coconuts, china smashing, skittles, draws and tombolas, bric a brac and plants & produce.

Kids will enjoy the teddy tombola and the kids play area plus search out the tattoo’s ( they do wash off )

Getting peckish or thirsty try out the Bar, BBQ or tea tent  or a cake or ice cream at those stalls.

And then once you have filled the kids up with Ice cream and sweets then we have the bouncy castle which we are sure they will enjoy.
